FAQ: Is an Annual Fee Required?
After one year, you'll maintain full software functionality for diagnosis, calibration, parameter checks, etc. However, choosing not to renew the Jaltest license results in losing technical support and three major software updates. Neglecting renewal also means losing access to repair information. Click the software links above for current renewal pricing. It's a modest investment for access to the latest diagnostic information and the support of numerous engineers and diagnostic specialists.
Diagnostic Laptop
The software in this kit is for installation on your own laptop. We do offer new and refurbished Panasonic Toughbooks. Depending on your needs you can consider a semi rugged Panasonic zf-55 for shop use or for the ultimate toughness a refurbished Panasonic CF 31 rugged for field use complete with 15 months warranty. We also have Ruggon Rugged Tablets.
Jaltest Coverage
Jaltest has excellent on highway coverage of 24 brands of light/Medium duty trucks and vans. The Light/Medium commercial vehicle diagnostic scanner kit allows you to access coverage specifically of the light/medium duty vehicles. With 3 major updates a year Jaltest continues to build out more capabilities across all the systems and brands. These updates are part of your annual license. If you already have a service laptop with minimium windows 10, 8GB of ram and 40GB of harddrive space we will install Jaltest for you on your device.
If you are looking for a rugged service laptop we have many options for you.
Certified Refurbished
We don't just clean them up, we fully inspect and certify our refurbished laptops with a 98 step process. These certified refurbished laptops come with a 15 month warranty
The majority of our customers prefer the 5ft drop radius and value of the refurbished Panasonic CF31, but we have refurbished options for tablets and semi rugged laptops as well
New Rugged Laptops & Tablets
If you prefer a new Laptop a Jaltest branded Panasonic FZ55 is available as well as unbranded Dell laptops and tablet options.
Mechncian UpTime Coverage
If you need service on your laptop our service team will prioritize the repair and return it to you as quick as possible. To minimize your downtime add Mechnician uptime coverage to your liscence. With uptime coverage we will send a replacement laptop within 48 hours to use during your service period. Coverage available in North America for $397 a year
